Our routine and curriculum are play-based, child-directed, and developmentally appropriate based off the High Scope and other similar curriculum. We also emphasize multi-lingual teachings in English, Spanish, and ASL. Exposure to different languages supports young children’s development and helps them to become more confident to explore and engage with the world around them. All children enjoy at least one daily group circle time which focuses on exposure to books and learning colors, shapes, numbers, and letters.
Other activities that the children participate in, include, but are not limited to books and story-time, building blocks, tumbling exercises, music/musical instruments, dancing, and singing, dress up, interactive toys, cars/trucks/planes/trains, arts and crafts, puzzles, flash cards, animals/dinosaurs, play food, balls, dolls, games, coloring, painting, science, puppets, etc.
Outdoor activities can include, climbing, sliding, swinging, jumping, running, bubbles, ride-on toys, wagons, exploring nature/weather, water play, field trips, and outdoor games.
Times may vary during our routine and outside time may be swapped for indoor activities if the weather is poor, we may also conduct more activities outside if the weather is good. The routine may also change due to field trips or other circumstance; if these changes have an impact on drop-off or pick-up families will be informed prior to or as soon as possible via their preferred contact method.
